Milanese Complete Armour Set - Light Kit
Step onto the battlefield with the complete head-to-thigh silhouette of a 15th-century Italian knight with the Light Kit Milanese Armour Set. This set brings together four pieces of the Milanese Light Kit, all crafted from high-density polyurea for the polished look of forged steel at a fraction of the weight. Every component is rust-proof, dent-resistant, and requires no oiling or polishing, so the set stays event-ready season after season.Â
Each piece is secured with an adjustable leather strap for a comfortable fit, which prevents the armor from shifting during combat, ensuring consistent protection throughout the event. The pieces are designed to layer over a gambeson and are fully compatible with other Epic Armoury products, letting you build a kit that fits your needs perfectly.
Milanese Armour Set consists of the following pieces:
-
Light Kit Milanese Cuirass covers the torso with an integrated beveled chest plate that deflects incoming attacks
-
Light Kit Milanese Pauldrons shield the shoulders and upper arms with overlapping plates, including a vertical plate on the left shoulder for extra head protection. The pauldrons are fitted with a chain pin for attaching insignia or heraldry
-
Light Kit Milanese Couters protect the elbows and adjacent arm with a curved, riveted shelf that catches and redirects blows away from the joint. They are sold as a pair and fasten via eyelets to your padded underlayer
-
Light Kit Faulds and Tassets guard the waist, hips, and upper thighs with an articulated bottom plate that keeps you mobile, while adjustable shoulder and waist straps with a full grain leather belt ensure a comfortable fitÂ
- Available in sizes Medium, Large and Xlarge
Fit, adjustment & care
Your armor is designed to be adjusted to your body, both through its strap system and, where needed, by reshaping the material itself.Â
-
Custom fit through heat-shaping: For a more personalized fit, the material can be gently reshaped using heat. Whenever possible, apply heat to the inside (back) of the piece rather than directly onto the painted exterior. This lets the material become flexible while protecting the finish.
-
Finish: The base material underneath the painted surface is black, so over time, scratches and general wear may reveal this black color underneath.
-
Easy touch-ups: Minor cosmetic damage, such as scuffs or scratches can be simply repaired at home using a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
-
Leather care: The leather straps should be maintained like any other full-grain leather product, with occasional conditioning to keep them supple and long-lasting.
-
A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle and can be expected with regular use, adding to the authentic, battle-worn character of the piece.
