The Story

Ready For Battle Mace

Epic Armoury’s Ready for Battle Mace is an intimidating 70 cm latex mace designed to fit a wide range of settings, making it a good weapon for a new warrior looking to make his way. Its long square handle is 55 cm and ends in a 20 cm four-flanged mace head. The spiked flanges are detailed with beveled edges and negative space near the haft, its upper 8 cm spike shaped slightly longer than its lower companion.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

  • Has a 20 cm long mace head

History

  • Flange would have been designed to penetrate armor
  • Maces were first designed to cause harm without penetrating armor due to the force of their blows
  • Commonly made of iron, but also occasionally copper and bronze
