The Story
Viking Sword
The Viking Sword is a weapon of status wielded by free men and proud warriors of skill and valor. The 95 cm long sword has a 77 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight while maintaining its structural stability. The 12 cm leather-wrapped handle gives the sword good balance and grip, protected by a curved crossguard.
The Viking Sword can be complemented with a Viking Shield or Dagger. Made from durable closed cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

- Originally a Frankish design
- Most swords of this design found in Scandinavia were imported or looted from the Frankish Empire
- Also referred to as a “Norman Sword”
- Gave rise to the Knightly Sword in the 11th to 12th centuries
